Wine Reviews

Misty Cove Gruner Veltliner Marlborough 2019
Brilliant, medium green/gold color. The aromatics are very intense offering scents of spring flowers, quince, and kiwi with supporting notes of citrus zest, honeysuckle, and fresh cut hay. The palate confirms the nose delivering a tropical fruits-driven core with flavors of ripe pineapple, Asian pear, kumquat, grapefruit, and slate. The finish is long and lingering. Medium-bodied and perfectly balanced with a vibrant texture with generous, lush fruit. $15.99 – 4 Stars/92 points

Four Vines Naked Chardonnay Central Coast 2020
Brilliant, medium straw color. The nose is moderately intense offering scents of apricot stone and lemon curd with supporting notes of kumquat, candied ginger, meringue, and hints of baked bread. The palate confirms the nose delivering a ripe orchard fruits-driven core with flavors of white peach, bees wax, and citrus zest. The finish lingers. Medium-bodied and nicely balanced with a vibrant texture. $10.99 – 3.5 Stars/89 points

Spirits Reviews

Regal Rogue Wild Rosé Vermouth
Brilliant, pale burnt orange color. The nose is beautifully fruity with waves of strawberry, red plum, and kumquat with accents of five spice, sweet rhubarb, and hibiscus flowers. The palate fully concurs with the nose delivering a marriage of crushed red berries and tropical fruits with subtle spice and mineral accents. Medium-bodied with ideal balance and generous red fruit flavors foiled by tart fruits and vibrant acidity. Made with organic Rosé of Cabernet, strawberry gum, rosella, and Illawara plums among other botanicals. $19.99 – 4.5 Stars
