Bushmills Original - White Label Blended Irish Whiskey
A very fragrant Whiskey with scents of fresh grass and spring flowers with touches of candied almonds, mango, and a faint coconut impression. The palate delivers on the promise of the nose being youthful while lush and generous with flavors of baked orchard fruits that become quite dry and a bit green on the finish. A very good value. $19.99 – 3 Stars

Clontarf Single Malt Irish Whiskey
Pale gold color. A beautiful nose filled with notes of toasted malt accented by wild herbs and cardamom. A staple of my drinks cabinet. $29.99 – 4 Stars
Connemara Cask Strength Single Malt Irish Whiskey
Deep golden color. An amazing assertive nose filled with scents of smoke, peat, roasted nuts, sea salt, mint, and dried fruits. Rich and oily on the palate with amazing viscosity. Connemara Peated 12 Years Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey
Deep golden to amber color. The nose is wonderfully complex being less assertively peaty and smoky than the original Connemara. It is very floral and minty, with buttery toffee and accents of peat, sea salt, and pepper. The palate is lush while spicy with complex notes of honey and fruit compote with accents of oak and marzipan. This Whiskey offers great balance and intrigue. $94.99 – 4 Stars
FECKIN Blended Irish Whiskey
Deep golden amber color. The nose is quite odd unless you keep telling yourself that this is a flavored Whiskey. The aromas range from vanilla to clove with a hint of Whiskey. The palate is equally confused tasting more like a flavored Rum/Bourbon hybrid than an Irish Whiskey. It’s clear that this spirit is all about a catchy name and marketing and little to do with Whiskey. $24.99 – 1 Stars

Greenore 15 Years Old Irish Single Grain Whiskey
Pale golden color. The nose is filled with Whiskey notes as opposed to a heavy dose of wood notes. It’s quite complex and very pleasing offering scents of wild flowers, vanilla. orange honey, shortbread, and Bourbon. The palate is in full agreement with the nose being dry with a mild, sweet smoke accent. An interesting Whiskey but at this price few will be tempted to own a bottle. $100 – 3 Stars

Brilliant golden color. The nose is simply beautiful with scents of butterscotch, caramel, nougat, and vanilla with accents of orange peel, honey and sweet toasted grains.
