Wine Reviews

Colpetrone Memoira Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG 2015
Brilliant, dark scarlet color. The aromatics are intense, offering scents of blackberry, pomegranate, and garrigue with supporting notes of black tea, orange peel, forest floor, and five spice. The palate confirms the nose delivering a black fruit-driven core with flavors of black plum, dried fruits, dark chocolate, baking spices, and mineral. The finish is long and lingering with chewy tannins. Full-bodied and perfectly balanced with an opulent texture. $25 – 4.5 Stars/94 points

Spirits Reviews

Laird’s Barrel Aged Series 4 Years Old Blended Irish Whiskey
Bright, pale golden color. The aromatics are very intense, giving aromas of green apple, pear, and apple cider with supporting notes of vanilla, cereal, and ginger biscuits. The palate echoes the nose delivering a baked apple-driven core with supporting flavors of honey, sultanas, apricot stone, and hints of cinnamon. The finish is long and lingering. Medium to full-bodied and ideally balanced with a supple texture. $55 – 4 Stars
