We had another busy week at BevX with new, tasty beverage reviews to share. This week we have Three new spirits reviews and one new wine review. Enjoy!
The BevX reviews are like no other. We evaluate wines, beers, and spirits breaking down elements of appearance, aroma, flavor, texture and intensity as well the product’s “cool factor” and value. We also offer analysis on the creation of the beverage as well as any interesting points that make it unique. Vermont Spirits Gold Vodka
Brilliant, crystal clear. The nose is wonderfully seductive and decadent being reminiscent of maple cakes with accents of toasted almonds and mineral. The palate affirms the fabulous nose being wonderfully lush and silky with a mildly sweet and pleasingly assertive minerality that adds structure and style. Medium-bodied with a rich, velvet-like texture while delivering bright acidity resulting in perfect balance.

Vermont Spirits No. 14 Apple Brandy
Brilliant, golden amber color. The nose is filled with the scents of baked apples with accents of charred oak, butterscotch, nutmeg, and vanilla bean. The palate echoes the nose delivering a rich, apple-driven core with waves of brown baking spices, pepper, oak, and ginger. Medium-bodied with bright fruit supported by loads of oak, spice, and sharp ginger notes that add shape and intrigue.

Vermont Spirits No. 14 Maple Spirit
Brilliant, golden amber color. The nose is filled with rich and decadent scents of dense maple, oak, and complex brown baking spices with hints of caramel and toffee. The palate is in full agreement with the nose delivering a dense maple and caramel core that exhibits a silky texture with flanking notes of spice, oak, and roasted nuts. Medium to full-bodied with rich and decadent flavors that is kept in ideal balance by a surprising dose of fresh acidity.

Fontana Candida Santa Teresa Frascati Superiore DOCG 2014
Brilliant, medium straw color. The nose is moderately intense offering scents of green apple, kiwi, citrus zest, spring and flowers with supporting notes of mineral, and pear. The palate confirms the nose delivering a green fruit-driven core with flavors of green melon. The finish is is crisp with soft citrus notes. Medium-bodied and perfectly balanced with a lean texure.
