Lejay Crème de Cassis
Brilliant, crystal clear. The aromatics are wonderfully rich with scents of ripe blackcurrants, red plum, and dried blueberry. The palate is in full agreement with the nose delivering lush and silky ripe fruit flavors with loads of blackberry jam foiled by subtle citrus, and tart cherry notes. This is an incredibly intense Liqueur with impossibly rich fruit notes balanced by soft citrus notes and a dose of bright acidity on the finish. $29.99 – 4.5 Stars
G'Vine Nouaison Gin
Brilliant, crystal clear. The nose is quite unique and complex with scents of forest floor inclusive of dry pine needles in the lead with cinnamon and allspice in support by semisweet lime notes, nutmeg, and a juniper flourish. The palate is in full agreement as this rogue Gin delivers a rich and chewy juniper center flanked by a generous dose of sharp citrus zest with forest floor and citrus pulp. This is a powerful Gin with a lush fruity and spicy core. $35.99 – 4 Stars
Calvados Boulard VSOP Calvados, Pays d’Auge
Brilliant, crystal clear. Wonderfully aromatic, filling the nose with the scents of baked and fresh apples with supporting notes of nutmeg, toasted walnuts, charred oak, brown butter, and a hint of clove. The palate confirms the nose with more vibrant, fresh apple notes emerging with a soft vanilla bean note flanking the rich fruit. Subtle and complex while offering a rich, and generous fruit-driven core with perfect balance as bright acidity is present from entry to finish. $$45 – 4 Stars
Seraphin VSOP Cognac
Bright, copper color. The nose is wonderfully fruity veering toward Calvados (apples) with its aromatic signature accented by notes of clove, allspice, and oak. The palate is soft on entry with a peppery back and palate finish. Medium-bodied while being decidedly sweet and slightly viscous. $57 – 3 Stars
Given Liqueur
Brilliant golden/green color. The nose is oh-so intriguing with sweet and tart lime notes in the lead supported by a melange of exotic fruits akin to walking through a Singapore open air market. The first sip reveals a surprisingly tart and complex spirit that evolves into a multilayered liqueur with bright citrus notes and waves of tropical fruits framed in a generous portion of vibrant citrus acid. Medium-bodied and smi-viscous. $33 – 4 Stars
Grand Marnier Raspberry Peach Liqueur
Crystal clear with a beautiful and nearly indescribable color being part peach, gold, pale ruby, and copper. The aromatics are dominated by peach and citrus with a good deal of zest and a touch of pith while on whole being quite delicate. The palate is more assertive with sweet raspberry notes coming to the fore flanked by orange zest and peach concentrate. At the heart of this liqueur is GM’s ideal marriage of orange and Cognac. This is a wonderful addition to the portfolio and a new clever tool for bartenders. $39.99 – 4 Stars
Grand Marnier Cuvée 1880 Liqueur
Beautiful deep bronze to amber color. Initially the aromatics cause a deep pause. The nose is clearly dominated by old and luxurious Cognac with the heart of your favorite XO. Supporting notes of orange essence are present and grow in the glass with continued aeration. The palate fully delivers on the promise of the nose offering layer upon layer of rich, sweet Cognac with notes of orange laced vanilla fudge, hints of marzipan, allspice, nutmeg, candied ginger, and tangerine. This is a seriously good liqueur with a judicious dose of sugar and superb balance. Full-bodied and luxurious and it's size and heft. A luxury product that sadly few will experience but it’s worthy of seeking out an outlet that offers this beauty in a glass. $350 – 4 Stars
