We had another busy week at BevX with new, tasty beverage reviews to share. This week we have four new wine reviews. Enjoy!

The BevX reviews are like no other. We evaluate wines, beers, and spirits breaking down elements of appearance, aroma, flavor, texture and intensity as well the product’s “cool factor” and value. We also offer analysis on the creation of the beverage as well as any interesting points that make it unique. Finally we offer suggestion on how to enjoy the beverage including pairing and cocktail suggestions.

Prosper Maufoux Chardonnay Bourgogne 2016
Brilliant, light green/yellow color. The nose is moderately intense offering scents of green apple, and lemon curd with supporting notes of quince, and slate. The palate confirms the nose delivering a green fruit-driven core with flavors of green melon. The finish is is dry with hints of citrus. Medium-bodied and nicely balanced with a vibrant texture.

Prosper Maufoux Pinot Noir Bourgogne 2015
Brilliant, medium ruby color. The nose is moderately intense offering scents of cassis, red cherry, and raspberry with supporting notes of earth, and mineral. The palate confirms the nose delivering a red and black fruits-driven core with flavors of red currant and dry oak. The finish is lingers with firm tannins. Medium-bodied and nicely balanced with a vibrant texture.

Troon Blue Label G*S*M Rogue Valley 2015
Brilliant, deep ruby color. The aromatics are very intense offering scents of blackberry and black cherry with supporting notes of black tea, cranberry, and earth. The palate confirms the nose delivering a red and black fruits-driven core with flavors of plum and accents slate. The finish is long and lingering with supple tannins. Full-bodied and perfectly balanced with an opulent texture.

Troon Blue Label Grenache Rogue Valley 2016
Brilliant, medium ruby color looking much like a Pinot Noir. The nose is moderately intense offering scents of cranberry and blackberry with supporting notes of five spice, black tea, and mineral. The palate confirms the nose delivering a red and black fruits-driven core with flavors of black cherry. The finish is long and lingering with supple tannins. Medium to full-bodied and perfectly balanced with a succulent texture as it carries its strength with ease.
