Brilliant, crystal clear. The nose reveals a grain focused Whiskey with hints of clover honey, orange zest, and black pepper, with hints of clove, and a green grassy accent. The palate delivers on the promise of the nose. It's very malty with a generous dose of honey and soft brown baking spice notes. Medium-bodied with a silky, lush core with semisweet malt notes. $23.99 – 4 Stars

Bright, light golden color. The nose is fresh with scents of toasted grain, vanilla, and hints of dried fruits. The palate continues where the nose leaves off offering a great marriage of grain and fruit with accents of toasted almonds, dry wood notes, and black pepper. Available in the US on a limited basis, this latest offering of the old Paddy Whiskey is better than ever. $ – 3.5 Stars
West Cork IPA Cask Blended Irish Whiskey
Brilliant, medium copper color. The nose is fresh and vibrant with the scents of citrus with ripe and baked orchard and tropical fruits, along with accents of toffee and vanilla bean. The palate fully concurs with the nose delivering a lush but vibrant grain-driven core with layers of ripe orchard fruits, honey, sweet malt, and caramel. Medium to full-bodied with a lush grain and fruit core foiled by refreshing citrus notes. This Whiskey is a 75/25 blend of Irish wheat and malted Irish barley. The final blend spends six months in casks that had held Blacks of Kinsale’s IPA. $32.99 – 4.5 Stars

Brilliant, deep copper color. The nose is quite floral with bright notes of honey with accents of vanilla, grain, and spice. The palate echoes the nose delivering a light but sweet grain and honey-centric core with waves of spice and oak as it finishes short and dry. Medium-bodied with bright acidity but it does lack depth on the palate. The Bushmills Red is made from Whiskey aged exclusively in ex-Bourbon casks. $21 – 3 Stars
